Portfolio :: Reference for Remote DRDA® Requesters and Servers
Objective Updating the Distributed Data Management (DDM) command reference, which is part of the underlying architecture of DRDA. This documentation is revised in conjunction with DB2 V9 release. After I incorporated all revisions, I migrated the information unit to DITA. The biggest challenge was to understand the product well enough to articulate about it, and keeping up with new information as the software was rapidly changing. Description I collaborated with the development team to deliver an accurate and complete documentation
of the DDM commands. Two technical reviews were formally held during the developmental period. After the content is ready, I worked with the technical
editor to rearchitect the information unit into DITA. DITA is an XML-based architecture for authoring information as
discrete topics, allowing for flexibility in content management because it enables topics to be extensively reused across a library.
Some topics had to be rewritten and new ones added to integrate content modularity and applying it successfully to multiple
outputs. |
